Bunion surgery with regenerative medical therapy: Minimal incision, laser therapy, stem cell injection

January 9, 2026

Bunion Surgery with Regenerative Medical Therapy and the Real Minimal Incision Procedure

Many patients suffer from bunion deformity. They have tried many types of devices including wider shoes, orthotics as well as cortisone injections. Cortisone is extremely harmful to the patient and these are not done in our institution. We do not make long incisions. We do not use any screws or plates to correct the deformity. We do the surgery under local anesthesia in our office. There is no need for general anesthesia or going to the hospital or surgery centers.

We also use stem cells as well as laser therapy. This allows the surgical site to heal much faster and patients are able to ambulate after surgery.

Note that the patient does not have much swelling, or visible incision marks and the alignment is much better than it was before surgery. And this patient was able to ambulate same day as the surgery.
